Mihaela Bâcu × Hermitage

Mihaela Bâcu × Hermitage

Architect / Architectural practice, Romania, Belgium

Mihaela Bâcu is an architect working between Bucharest and Brussels. Her practice is grounded in multidisciplinary research and close observation, uncovering the narratives embedded in the built environment.

Hermitage is a new architecture practice founded by Manuel León Fanjul and Clément Paillon. Hermitage invites every actor in a project to actively contribute to defining both its form and its story. Conceived as a shared space, Hermitage is a place where intentions are discussed, narratives are built, and architecture is shaped collectively.

For the 2026 edition, with their proposal Unlearning Square, the three architects will explore the question: How can a classroom transform into a public square?
